Bishop Miege High School
Summer Activities Update
July 1, 2020
Bishop Miege has made the following decisions after consulting with school health care professionals along with our State and Johnson County Health Department guidelines and recommendations. The decisions being made are to help keep the Bishop Miege community safe and are following the other area school districts and Archdiocesan High Schools.
The following decisions align with our main goals of protecting our students, staff and families from exposure to Covid-19.
Effective July 6, 2020 all Bishop Miege High School indoor team camps are cancelled through July 19th. If conditions improve, the hope is for the high school indoor team camps to be held starting the week of July 20th.
All Bishop Miege youth camps (athletic and enrichment) both indoor and outdoor are cancelled beginning the week of July 6, 2020.
Bishop Miege outdoor high school team camps can be held as scheduled.
All Bishop Miege High School outdoor conditioning workouts will continue as scheduled by each team. (Reminder, these are voluntary workouts). The weight room will not be available for use.
All graduation activities on July 17 and 18 will be held outside. Specific details to be communicated to the class of 2020 on Friday July 3.
Bishop Miege will be assessing the Johnson County recommendations as we hopefully progress towards the “phase out” stage which follows our current Phase 3 stage. We apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience that this will cause for your children and families.
